In Crimea, police officers issued human rights activist Abdureshit Dzhepparov a warning against violating the law. Law enforcement officials explained the document's origins in connection with the upcoming holiday on May 9th, but such actions typically occur shortly before the Day of Remembrance for the Victims of the Deportation of the Crimean Tatar People (May 18th).
Ramzan Kadyrov awarded his nephew and advisor-assistant, 26-year-old Khamzat Kadyrov, the title “Hero of Chechnya.” Previously, he received the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, II degree, from the President of the Russian Federation.
Recently, Kadyrov's 15-year-old son Adam has received six different awards. Together with his brothers Akhmat and Eli, he was awarded the highest order of the Chechen parliament “Daimekhkan Siy” (“Honor of the Fatherland”). In addition, he received the Order of Merit for the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, the Order of Duslyk (the second most important state award of Tatarstan), the Order of Merit for the Karachay-Cherkess Republic and the Order of Merit for the Ummah, 1st degree, as well as title of Hero of Chechnya.
