The President of Russia said that he sees positive changes in Grozny and in the Chechen Russian public as a whole. He expressed confidence that Ramzan Kadyrov will «do a lot for it». At the meeting, the head of Chechnya informed about the republic’s economic and social achievements.

According to Rosstat (controlled by the government of the Russian Federation), Chechnya consistently ranks last on such socio-economic indicators as low wages, High unemployment, low housing availability and even a declining birth rate and a high divorce rate.
