Kadyrov again declared his readiness to participate in the elections of the head of Chechnya

The head of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, announced his readiness to participate in the upcoming elections for the head of the region, subject to the support of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The statement was made at an extended meeting in response to the proposal addressed to Kadyrov by the Chairman of the Government of the Chechen Republic, Magomed Daudov, to be nominated as a candidate from the United Russia party. According to the head of the republic, the trust of residents and the position of the head of state are of paramount importance to him. The meeting also discussed issues of socio-economic development of the region and the implementation of business support programs.

Earlier, during his “direct line” in December, Kadyrov had already voiced his intention to once again advance to the main post in Chechnya, as always, stipulating that when making a decision he would rely on the opinion of the President of the Russian Federation.
