Criticism of Chechen authorities fined in absentia for video

A court in Chechnya fined refugee blogger Ali Bakaev 10 thousand rubles, finding him guilty of inciting national hatred and enmity. We are talking about his video criticizing the authorities of the Russian Federation and Chechnya and expressing support for Ukraine. Bakaev himself suggested that after this the Russian authorities could open a new criminal case against him under an extremist article in order to re-submit him to the Interpol wanted list.

Earlier, Ali Bakaev was accused of organizing an attack on a National Guard unit in the Chechen village of Naurskaya. He declared his non-involvement in the attack. The critic of the Chechen authorities is in Ukraine, Moscow has repeatedly sought his deportation.
