Russia does not intend to comply with the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) ruling requiring Georgian citizens to pay over 250 million euros, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov stated. When asked about the possibility of improving Russian-Georgian relations if the payment were made, Peskov noted that the Kremlin views this issue as a separate matter.

A month ago, 47-year-old Eldar Karamurza was detained in the Crimean village of Novoalekseevka. He was accused of participating in the activities of the Noman Chelebidzhikhan Crimean Tatar battalion, which was recognized as terrorist in Russia, as well as participating in the economic blockade of Crimea.
According to preliminary information, Karamurza is currently being held in the Novotroitsk pretrial detention center. According to Eskender Bariyev, head of the Crimean Tatar Resource Center (KRC), Eldar has a 2nd group disability (cerebral palsy), he limps and has difficulty moving. The security forces also confiscated his car.
"The family remains unaware of Karamurza's whereabouts. The elderly mother has visited all the so-called "law enforcement agencies" in the Genichesk district of the Kherson region in search of her son. However, she was never told where he was being held, what he was accused of, or when the illegal trials in his case would take place,” Bariyev shared.
