The head of the Azerbaijani diaspora in the Ulyanovsk region, Islam Huseynov, has been stripped of his Russian citizenship and will be deported. According to Russian media, this decision was made jointly by the regional departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Federal Security Service (FSB). The reasons for the citizenship revocation and deportation have not been officially disclosed.
Crimean Tatar political prisoner has been in strict conditions for over four months

Crimean Tatar philologist and journalist Seyran Saliev, who was sentenced to 16 years in prison, has been in strict conditions for four months. The man is serving his sentence in IK-4 in the Tula region.
Since the beginning of the year, Saliev has been sent to a punishment cell for 15 days several times due to violation of the dress code. The prisoner has been on preventive registration for over six years. During his imprisonment, the prisoner's eyesight has deteriorated and his teeth have become very bad.
Seyran Saliev is a philologist of the Turkish and Crimean Tatar languages. Before his arrest, he worked as a tour guide and journalist. In 2020, he was sentenced to 16 years on charges of involvement in the activities of the Islamic party Hizb ut-Tahrir. It was recognized as terrorist in the Russian Federation, while the organization operates freely in Ukraine and European countries.
