Crimean Tatar political prisoner complained about the lack of medical care in prison

After the injection given by the paramedic, the health condition of Crimean Tatar political prisoner Vladlen Abdulkadyrov, who is serving time in a prison in the city of Yelets, Lipetsk region, noticeably worsened. In addition to lower back pain, the man developed severe headaches and tachycardia. He reported his condition to the medical unit, but they didn’t tell him anything specific. According to Abdulkadyrov's wife, he cannot walk or stand for long.

In 2022, Vladlen Abdulkadyrov was sentenced to 12 years in prison on charges of participation in the Islamic party Hizb ut-Tahrir, which is banned in the Russian Federation. At the same time, the organization operates legally on the territory of Ukraine and most countries of the world. Since 2015, criminal cases regarding participation in Hizb ut-Tahrir began to be initiated en masse in Crimea. Almost all of the defendants are Crimean Tatars who opposed the annexation of the peninsula to the Russian Federation.
