Russia does not intend to comply with the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) ruling requiring Georgian citizens to pay over 250 million euros, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov stated. When asked about the possibility of improving Russian-Georgian relations if the payment were made, Peskov noted that the Kremlin views this issue as a separate matter.

During the transfer from pre-trial detention center No. 1 to pre-trial detention center No. 2 in Simferopol, the guards hit the Crimean Tatar Ekrem Krosh several times. In addition, during the reception, his personal belongings and products were taken away from him. The new detention center has harsher conditions, and the officers tried to forbid the man from praying.
Ekrem Krosh was detained in January after searches. He was charged under the article on participation in the activities of a terrorist organization (part 2 of article 205.5 of the Criminal Code). Such in the Russian Federation is the Islamic political party Hizb ut-Tahrir. It is banned in Russia, but in different countries of the world and Europe, including Ukraine, it operates absolutely legally.
