Crimean Tatar political prisoner placed in PKT "for lifestyle"
Since February 2023, Crimean Tatar political prisoner Server Zekiryaev has been regularly placed in a punishment cell in IK-1 in the Tula region. He has also been repeatedly placed in a cell-type facility (PKT). The reasons for his strict detention have never been given to him.

According to Zekiryaev's wife, the colony administration does not respond to complaints in any way, and they refuse to transfer him from the PKT, explaining that he was sent there "for his lifestyle." Complaints to the prosecutor's office and the Investigative Committee have not yet yielded results.

"The conditions in which a person slowly dies are called satisfactory. At the same time, Server vomits foam after eating and exercising, he constantly has a bitter taste in his throat and is constantly dizzy. He has poisoning and exhaustion! His strength is running out!" the prisoner's wife shared.

The man began to have breathing problems and developed chronic cardiovascular failure. The prisoner also added that he suffered from vomiting and constant dizziness.

Before his arrest, Server Zekiryaev worked as a physical education teacher and was involved in flower growing. He was found guilty of involvement in the activities of the Islamic political party Hizb ut-Tahrir and sentenced to 13 years. The organization has been banned in Russia since 2003. In Ukraine and most countries of the world, it operates without restrictions at the level of national legislation.
