Crimean Tatar political prisoner is not given shoes in prison for four months

Crimean Tatar Vladlen Abdulkadyrov, sentenced to 12 years in prison, has not gone out for walks for more than four months due to lack of shoes. Prison staff in Yelets did not provide him with seasonal shoes, and convicts are prohibited from having their own. Crimean Solidarity reports this.

The political prisoner also complained of constant back pain. He managed to get an examination at a private clinic, which showed that there was displacement and inflammation of the hernia in the lumbar region.

Let us recall that at the end of March 2019, 25 civil activists were arrested in Crimea, one of them was Vladlen Abdulkadyrov. In May 2022, due to his involvement in the Hizb ut-Tahrir party, banned in the Russian Federation, the court found him guilty under articles of participation in the activities of a terrorist organization and preparation for the seizure of power, imposing 12 years in prison.
