For seven days now, tens of thousands of volunteers from across the North Caucasus have been searching for little hero Khizir Derbichev, who was swept away by the powerful current of the Sunzha River near the village of Yandare in the Nazran District of Ingushetia. Crimean Tatar political prisoner denied treatment and clothing
Ayder Dzhepparov, sentenced to 17 years, is experiencing health problems in a penal colony in the Arkhangelsk region.
According to his wife Margarita Dzhepparova, he is being held in a moldy barracks built during World War II. In the colony, he was denied basic necessities, including clothing. Ayder Dzhepparov has heart and stomach problems, and no correctional facility has provided him with adequate medical care.
In January 2021, Crimean Tatar Ayder Dzhepparov was found guilty of participating in a terrorist organization and preparing for a violent seizure of power. Crimean Tatars are being tried en masse under these articles for alleged participation in the Islamic party Hizb ut-Tahrir. It is banned in the Russian Federation, but operates freely in Europe and around the world.
