Russia does not intend to comply with the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) ruling requiring Georgian citizens to pay over 250 million euros, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov stated. When asked about the possibility of improving Russian-Georgian relations if the payment were made, Peskov noted that the Kremlin views this issue as a separate matter.
Crimean Tatar woman sentenced to 15 years on treason charges

A court in Crimea sentenced Crimean Tatar Lera Dzhemilova to 15 years in prison on treason charges.
The girl was detained after a search in May 2024 and placed under administrative arrest for 15 days on a formal ground - allegedly for refusing to undergo a drug test. After that, she was not released, and her location was hidden from her relatives, citing state secrets. In March 2025, it became known that she had been charged with treason.
It is noted that Dzhemilova's health deteriorated significantly during her detention. In the punishment cell, she got frostbite on her hands and suffers from convulsions.
