Mother of Chechen Muslim Murdiyev complains about constant refusals of investigators to respond to her requests
Moscow law enforcement agencies have refused to consider requests and petitions from the mother of 14-year-old Chechen teenager Muslim Murdiyev, accused of provoking conflicts and fights, more than 700 times. She asked for an "honest investigation" in a complaint addressed to the Chairman of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin.
According to the woman, the investigation did not provide her with CCTV footage of Muslim Murdiyev. She also stated that her son was threatened with a knife during the fight.
Recall that during his recent live broadcast in Grozny, Chechen leader Ramzan criticized the heads of the Investigative Committee and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Alexander Bastrykin and Vladimir Kolokoltsev, over the criminal case against Muslim Murdiyev and demanded his release. He is under house arrest, and his defense insists on his complete innocence.
The reason for initiating the criminal case was a fight in which Murdiyev, according to the defense, stood up for his friend before the aggressor.
In response to Kadyrov's criticism, the Investigative Committee published videos in which Murdiyev, along with other teenagers, provokes conflicts. The department clarified that five young men chose random passers-by for attacks, Murdiyev is charged with four episodes of crime. The trial will begin on December 18. The defendants in the case are accused of hooliganism committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy (Part 2 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
