A 38-Year-Long Dream: A 63-Year-Old Azerbaijani Woman Gave Birth to Her First Child

In Azerbaijan, a 63-year-old woman became a mother for the first time after nearly four decades of waiting. Natig Magerramov, a PhD in medicine, shared the unusual story.

According to the doctor, the long-awaited pregnancy occurred after a course of treatment that helped the patient realize her dream of having a child after 38 years.

"With the help of Allah, we completed the treatment, and after many years of waiting, our 63-year-old patient finally held her child in her arms. Praise be to Allah that the treatment was successful, and we were able to be part of this happy event," wrote N. Magerramov.

Childbirth in women over 60 is considered extremely rare. In most such cases, pregnancy is made possible thanks to advances in modern reproductive medicine and the use of assisted reproductive technologies.
