Azerbaijani MFA criticizes Armenia for its words about "peaceful position"
The Azerbaijani MFA commented on Yerevan's statements about Armenia's "peaceful position". It described them as manipulation aimed at misleading the international community.
 
Baku stressed that until Armenia changes its constitution and renounces its claims, its statements about recognizing the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan have no legal force. He called on Yerevan to refrain from provocations and show real respect for international law.
 
Earlier, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said that the text of the peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia had been agreed upon by about 80%. He also stressed that in order to sign the document, it is important to amend the Armenian constitution in order to put an end to territorial claims against Azerbaijan on a constitutional basis.
