Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev has commented on Armenia’s plans to begin preparing an application to join the European Union, saying Yerevan would ultimately fail to secure EU membership but could seriously damage its relations with Russia and other members of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
Mikhail Saakashvili lost almost twice his weight in detention
Former President of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili reported significant deterioration of his state of health during 18 months in detention. According to him, he is «near death» and lost weight from 120 to 65 kg.
"I have terrible pain all over my body. Many are surprised that I am still alive. My brain is damaged, according to MRI results. Most of the symptoms are associated with heavy metal poisoning. No clinic in Georgia can cure it," the former President of Georgia complained.
In the near future Polish doctors will visit Saakashvili. The current Georgian authorities supported this initiative, but refused to allow the policy to be treated abroad.
