Mikheil Saakashvili called on the peoples of the North Caucasus to resist for the sake of future independence

The imprisoned ex-President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili wrote on social networks that the recent events with the Wagner rebellion showed the extreme weakness of the regime in Moscow. In this regard, according to him, the freedom-loving peoples of the North Caucasus should create resistance cells for the sake of their future independence from Russia.

“When I was president of Georgia, our parliament recognized the genocide of the Circassians. We opened a visa-free regime primarily for residents of the North Caucasus and created educational programs for them. We launched the First Information Caucasian TV channel to provide them with a free television platform. Struggling Ukraine has recognized the Republic of Ichkeria through its parliament,” Saakashvili said. He also emphasized that now it is necessary to revive and revive the spirit of Imam Shamil, Baisangur, Dzhokhar Dudayev, millions of resistance heroes, for whom Freedom was the highest value. “We must build bridges with each other in order to make the process of Russia's disintegration as non-violent as possible and avoid conflicts in the future. I propose to establish a permanent secretariat of the organization of the Free Caucasus in Kyiv. I am sure that the Ukrainian authorities will support,” the Georgian politician said.

In conclusion, Saakashvili said that as soon as the Putin regime falls, power in Georgia will change and prospects for reconciliation between Azerbaijan and Armenia will appear in the South Caucasus. At the same time, according to the politician, it is necessary to look for ways to unite the entire Caucasus with access to the victorious Ukraine and all of Europe.
