The Ministry of Labor of the Russian Federation assessed the prospects for personnel needs in the regions of the North Caucasus Federal District

The Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation presented a forecast of the personnel needs of the economy until 2029. According to the department, the number of people employed in the North Caucasus Federal District in agriculture and forestry will be more than 650 thousand, in construction - 438 thousand, in manufacturing - 225 thousand.

Some of the most sought-after specialists with the highest qualifications in the regions of the North Caucasus Federal District will be architects and engineers - the need for them will grow by 20 thousand people. Wholesale and retail trade also remains the driver of the economy.

Earlier, experts from the North Caucasus Federal University noted that the shortage of specialists in various fields has led to an increase in wages in the regions of the North Caucasus Federal District. At the same time, a high share of shadow employment is recorded in the district. On average, informal employment in the North Caucasus is 24% of the total labor force. This is more than 1 million people.
