A man mobilized from Chechnya who was wounded in the war against Ukraine was sentenced to two years for leaving his unit
The Court of Appeal upheld the sentence of Chechen native Sergei Yunusov - two years in a general regime colony. He was found guilty of abandoning a military unit.
It is noteworthy that, according to the case materials, Yunusov was wounded at the SVO, was nominated for military awards, and has a dependent minor child. At the beginning of February, Yunusov did not show up for duty in Dagestan. In March, after returning to the unit, he left it without permission for the second time. The defendant claimed that he had an exemption from military service duties for one month, and also presented a report on being granted leave for 10 days, from which he was unable to return to his place of duty on time due to illness.
