A resident of the Magaramkent district of Dagestan, Badirkhan Makiev, was sentenced to five years in prison. He was found guilty of leaving his unit without permission.
 
In court, the defense stated that Makiev did not undergo a military medical commission and has a serious chronic illness. He did not sign a contract with the Ministry of Defense.
 
The defendant himself stated his desire to return to the front if he was not sentenced to a real term. However, the courts in Dagestan and Rostov sent him to a colony.
 
In addition, Vyacheslav Beshkarev from Adygea received eight years in prison for two escapes from his unit. Previously, he was sentenced to two years probation. Subsequently, he was again absent from service at different times in 2024.
