The muftiate of the Moscow region called the delivery of parishioners of the Kotelnikov mosque to the military registration and enlistment office an “ugly practice”

The practice in which citizens of the Russian Federation, right after Friday prayers in the mosque, were loaded onto buses and taken to the military registration and enlistment office is, to say the least, ugly. This was reported by the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Moscow Region.

The DUM of the Moscow Region confirmed that after Friday prayers at the Kotelnikov mosque, security forces forcibly delivered several buses of citizens of the Russian Federation to the military registration and enlistment office. Among them was the finalist of the music show “Sing a Star” on Channel One, Mamut Useinov, who wrote about this in his Telegram channel.

In the Russian Federation there is a mechanism that is the same for all citizens, which allows people to be called up for military service. This mechanism should be equally applicable to all citizens, indicated the DUM of the Moscow Region.

“Believers are beginning to be afraid to go to official venues, they are losing trust in the authorities, all this can lead to negative consequences in the future,” explained the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Moscow Region. Recently, security forces have repeatedly broken into mosques in the cities of Kotelniki and Dzerzhinsky wearing shoes. This happened during prayer. Those who came behaved rudely and insulted the parishioners.
