There were two children from Chechnya on board the plane that crashed in Kazakhstan
Two children from Chechnya were on board the plane that was flying from Baku to Grozny. One of them was hospitalized, the fate of the second is still unknown.
 
13 relatives of the passengers contacted psychologists in Grozny. An aid center was set up at the airport, said Ali Abdullayev, Chairman of the Republican Committee for the Prevention and Elimination of Consequences of Emergencies. Doctors and psychologists are working at the scene.
 
The Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan reports that there were 62 passengers and five crew members on board the Azerbaijan Airlines. According to the country's Ministry of Emergency Situations, there were 69 people in total. 32 people survived. The Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan published information about 29 hospitalized.
 
The plane was supposed to fly from Baku to Chechnya, but it was redirected to Makhachkala, and then to Aktau in Kazakhstan. According to the Grozny airport, the cause was fog. The crash could also be due to the plane colliding with birds and an oxygen tank exploding.
