10,000 residents of Dagestan and more than 3,000 Chechens plan to go on Hajj this year

This year the Hajj quota for Russians will be 25,000 people. Most Muslims will come from Dagestan (10 thousand), Chechnya (3.1 thousand), Tatarstan (1.8 thousand), Ingushetia (1.3 thousand) and Bashkiria (900). Crimea will send only 600 people for the Hajj, Kabardino-Balkaria - 390, and Karachay-Cherkessia - 360.

The cheapest pilgrimage to Mecca this year will cost 16,000 rials ($4,500). The "diamond" package costs about 180,000 rials ($50,000). The price includes airfare, accommodation in Mecca or another Saudi city and transfer. The increase in prices is explained by the devaluation of the ruble against the Saudi rial.
