No fingerprints of arrested Crimean Tatars found on extremist books confiscated during searches
According to a fingerprint examination, fingerprints of Crimean Tatar political prisoners were not found on the books confiscated from them and deemed "extremist". This information was presented by the defense in the Southern District Military Court.

The defendants - Enver Krosh, Vilen Temeryanov, Rinat Aliyev and Edem Bekirov - claim that the investigation falsified evidence of their guilt. Criminal cases have been opened against the Crimean Tatars for participating in the political party "Hizb ut-Tahrir". It is recognized as terrorist in Russia, but at the same time it operates legally in Europe and the world. As for Enver Krosh, as he previously stated, torture was used during his escort from the north of Crimea to Simferopol.

Lawyer Emil Kurbedinov reported that the evidence of the activists' involvement in Hizb ut-Tahrir was an audio recording of a conversation in a mosque from 2015. The defense and the accused were not given the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the materials that the court sent for examination.

"The defendants discussed a number of issues about namaz: how to perform it, what are the Sharia norms on this matter, and so on. There were no conversations about terrorism or extremism. This once again proves the nature of the criminal cases against our clients," Emil Kurbedinov shared earlier.
