In the North Caucasus, citizens' spending on cafes and restaurants has decreased
Expenditures on catering establishments in 2024 have decreased by 83% among residents of North Ossetia compared to 2023 — from 1,276 rubles per three family members to 214 rubles. The figures were derived by FinExpertiza analysts based on Rosstat data.
 
Expenditures on cafes and restaurants have also decreased among residents of Karachay-Cherkessia — by 44.9% (from 591 to 325 rubles), Chechnya — by 23.5% (from 1,267 to 969 rubles), Stavropol Krai — by 16.2% (from 500 to 419 rubles) and Dagestan — by 6% (from 70 to 66 rubles).
 
The mentioned expenses increased in Kabardino-Balkaria by 3.3% (from 2,592 to 2,677 rubles) and Ingushetia by 38.1% (from 2,579 to 3,562 rubles).
 
The highest expenses on visiting catering establishments, as well as food delivery from cafes and restaurants, were traditionally incurred by Moscow families - an average of 6.5 thousand rubles per month for three people. Slightly less was spent on food outside the home in the Ryazan Region (5.7 thousand rubles), the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug (5.3 thousand rubles), the Saratov Region and Primorsky Krai (5.2 thousand rubles each).
