In the North Caucasus, WWII veterans will receive 200-500 thousand rubles

In May, on the 80th anniversary of the Great Patriotic War, veterans will receive one-time regional payments. In particular, the head of Karachay-Cherkessia Rashid Temrezov announced the amount of 300 thousand rubles - this is in addition to the federal payments initiated by the President of the Russian Federation. Home front workers and widows of deceased war participants will receive a payment of 10 thousand rubles.

Earlier, the head of Dagestan Sergei Melikov announced that on the 80th anniversary of the Victory, veterans living in the republic will receive 500 thousand rubles. As for those who survived the siege of Leningrad and concentration camp prisoners, they are entitled to 80 thousand rubles. In Kabardino-Balkaria, the payment to veterans is an order of magnitude lower - 200 thousand rubles.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on a one-time federal payment to veterans of the Great Patriotic War in the amount of 80 thousand rubles.
