Number of bankrupt citizens increased in North Caucasus
The inability to pay off debts on their own forces people and individual entrepreneurs to go to court for bankruptcy proceedings (debt cancellation).
In Stavropol Territory in January-March 2023, 1,589 individuals and IPs were declared bankrupt. This is 46.9% more than in the first quarter of last year. In North Ossetia, according to «Federsurus», there were 479 bankrupt individuals and IPs (growth amounted to 69.3%), in Dagestan - 419 (97.6%), in Kabardino-Balkaria - 282 (74.1%), in Karachay-Cherkessia - 182 (+82%), in Chechnya - 287% (175 - 172).
Moscow and Moscow Oblast are leading in absolute terms (3,638 and 3,630 bankruptcy cases respectively), Magadan (231.8%) and Sakhalin (204%) oblasts in terms of growth.
