At the trial of the murder of the head of the Ingushetia Ministry of Internal Affairs, the defendants pleaded not guilty.

The Southern District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don started the trial of the murder in Moscow of Ibrahim Eljarkiev, head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Ingushetia, and his brother. The accused pleaded not guilty.
According to the investigation, 11 people were involved in the death of Eljarkiev, 8 of them are in custody. Three are in hiding, including the alleged killer, Kureish Kartov. The investigation considered the crime a terrorist act: the leader of the community, according to their version, is businessman Hasan Polonkov.
Ibrahim Eljarkiev was shot and killed on 2 November 2019 in Moscow. His brother Abdulahmed, who was a doctor in a hospital in the capital, died with him. Less than a year before the assassination of the head of the Ingushetia Ministry of Internal Affairs, an attempt was made on his life. This happened in January 2019, when he was returning from a business trip from Chechnya.
