The body of eight-year-old Khizir Derbichev, who disappeared in the Sunzha River eight days ago and was found today, was laid to rest in Ingushetia. According to Islamic tradition, the deceased must be buried before sunset that same day.
No later than autumn, the Prime Minister of Armenia intends to submit an application to join the European Union
Armenia must apply to join the EU no later than autumn. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this at a closed meeting with deputies of the ruling party, the Hraparak newspaper reported.
According to the publication, Pashinyan hinted that the West demands practical steps to separate from Russia and remove it from the region. To submit the application, the Prime Minister intends to hold a constitutional referendum to obtain a vote of confidence from the population.
Armenia is ready to become a candidate for EU membership, the speaker of the parliament of the republic, Alen Simonyan, said earlier. In addition, Pashinyan reported that Armenia’s participation in the CSTO, “which is dominated by Moscow,” is frozen.
