The Russian Ministry of Defense reported intercepting 288 Ukrainian drones overnight into September 20 over several Russian regions, occupied Crimea, and the Black Sea. The aerial threat also affected the country's southern regions, specifically the Rostov Region, Krasnodar Krai, and Adygea.
Over the Rostov Region, 120 drones were destroyed overnight. Governor Yury Slyusar announced this on his Telegram channel. According to him, drones were shot down in Kamensk-Shakhtinsky as well as in ten districts: Veselovsky, Chertkovsky, Millerovsky, Morozovsky, Sholokhovsky, Kasharsky, Tarasovsky, Azovsky, Aksaysky, and Orlovsky.
"There have been no reports of casualties or damage on the ground. Details are being clarified," Slyusar added.
In Krasnodar Krai, a drone threat alert was issued simultaneously across 12 municipalities. Residents of Krasnodar remained under an air raid alert for more than nine hours.
In the *stanitsa* (village) of Anastasiyevskaya in the Slavyansky District of Krasnodar Krai, UAV debris fell onto the grounds of five private properties.
"There are no casualties. Windows, roofing, and exterior cladding of the houses, as well as a fence and a greenhouse, sustained partial damage. Emergency and specialized services are working at the scene," the regional operational headquarters reported.
A drone crash in a residential area was also recorded in Maykop, the capital of Adygea.
"According to preliminary information, there are no casualties or damage. Representatives of emergency services, relevant agencies, and the city administration are working at the site," reported the head of the republic, Murat Kumpilov. Meanwhile, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin reported a record-breaking attack on the Russian capital. Two people were killed, and at least six were injured. The Moscow Oil Refinery in the Kapotnya district was at the epicenter of the strike; the attack sparked a massive fire at the facility. According to preliminary data from monitoring channels, both primary oil processing units were hit, which could mean a halt to this process at the plant.
