The situation in the North Caucasus has worsened with the start of the war in Ukraine

Before the "special operation", the situation in the North Caucasus was completely stabilized. But with its start, a certain aggravation began. Foreign agents and various NGOs began to become more active. This was stated by the commander of the Joint Group of Forces for Conducting Counter-Terrorist Operations in the North Caucasus Region, Vladimir Makeyev.

According to him, radicalized citizens, usually living abroad, have also appeared.

"And we are talking not only about natives of the North Caucasus, but also about citizens of other regions of our Motherland. The Internet has a certain impact, people read, think, decide to join and swear allegiance to illegal armed groups," Makeyev shared.
