The Kyiv District Court of Simferopol remanded four Crimean Tatar women: Esma Nimetulayeva, Elviza Aliyeva, Nasiba Saidova, and Fevziye Osmanova, in pretrial detention for two months. The hearing was held behind closed doors, with limited access for support.

The Kyiv District Court of Crimea sent three Crimean Tatars – Ruslan Asanov, Ametkhan Umerov and Remzi Nimetulaev – to jail for two months. They are charged under article 205.5 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation on participation in a terrorist organization. Such in the Russian Federation is considered the Islamic party "Hiz but-Tahrir", which operates absolutely legally in Ukraine, Europe and different countries of the world.
“From the materials that the FSB officers submitted to the court, it is clear that for several years they bugged the households of the Crimean Tatars, where they allegedly recorded some meetings. To initiate a case, the testimony of two hidden witnesses was used, who say that they allegedly attended some secret meetings, ”said lawyer Edem Semedlyaev.
On August 24, security forces broke into the homes of those arrested and other Crimean Tatars. All of them are civic activists, they were repeatedly detained at actions in support of their compatriots, who were tried on politically motivated cases.
