Russia does not intend to comply with the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) ruling requiring Georgian citizens to pay over 250 million euros, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov stated. When asked about the possibility of improving Russian-Georgian relations if the payment were made, Peskov noted that the Kremlin views this issue as a separate matter.

An employee of the Timiryazevsky District Department of Internal Affairs of Moscow, Alexander Matyukhin, has gone to the "SVO". This happened after a criminal case was opened on the fact of an insult on national grounds and beating of a native of North Ossetia, Tamerlan Marzoev, reported the "Team Against Torture".
A criminal case on abuse of office based on Marzoev's complaint was opened only eight months after the incident. Investigators carried out only one investigative action. According to Matyukhin, he was performing a combat move and fell on Marzoev, and Marzoev hit his jaw on the butt of his machine gun.
On October 14, 2023, Marzoev was beaten because of his nationality in front of his pregnant wife. The couple was stopped on the street and asked to show their documents. One of the security officers asked where the man was from. He answered and heard the phrase: "Why have you come here?"
After the question about her nationality, Tamerlan's wife began to swear at the police officers and promised to complain about them. In response, they began to insult her and shout. Tamerlan told them that his wife was pregnant and stood between them. Then one of the security officers hit Marzoev in the jaw several times, he fell on the asphalt and hit his head.
After this, the couple was taken to the police station, where they continued to insult the man because of his nationality. They also forced him to strip naked and squat three times. As a result of what happened, Marzoev was diagnosed with a bilateral jaw fracture and multiple bruises on his head.
