The Parliamentary Committee of Azerbaijan made a statement in response to the document of the French Senate on sanctions against Baku

The Azerbaijani parliament called for curtailing economic ties with France and preventing its companies from participating in government projects. Deputies called for a ban on French companies operating in the country. In conclusion, they called on the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry to take steps to recognize the independence of Corsica.

The day before, the French Senate adopted a resolution condemning the counter-terrorism operation of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces in Karabakh and calling for sanctions against Baku.

Let us recall that on September 19-20, 2023, Baku conducted a military operation, as a result of which the entire territory of Nagorno-Karabakh became part of Azerbaijan. The Armenian population of Karabakh returned to their national state.
