Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan accused his predecessors—former presidents Levon Ter-Petrosyan, Robert Kocharyan, and Serzh Sargsyan—of concealing the truth about the Karabakh settlement from the Armenian people. At a briefing in Yerevan, the head of the Armenian government noted that all these politicians in opposition to the current government recognized Karabakh as part of Azerbaijan but did not disclose this information to the public.
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that he will not be able to take part in the meeting of the CSTO Collective Security Council on November 23 in Minsk.
Let us remind you that on January 10, Armenia refused to hold CSTO military exercises on its territory. Yerevan then recalled its permanent representative to the organization and has yet to appoint a successor. Previously, Pashinyan twice turned to the CSTO for help in connection with military conflicts with Azerbaijan. However, there was no reaction.
The Collective Security Treaty Organization is a regional international organization created to “protect the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity” of its member states. It includes the Russian Federation, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. In fact, the CSTO is a regional analogue of NATO under the leadership of the Russian Federation.
