Vice-President of the European Commission and High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas arrived in Azerbaijan. In Baku, she held a series of meetings with the country's leadership, outlining key areas of dialogue, from energy to a regional peace settlement.
Pashinyan rejected signing a peace treaty with Azerbaijan in the near future
Azerbaijan and Armenia will not sign a peace agreement at the October meeting in Granada, Spain. This was stated by Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan.
“Yerevan’s priority is the peace agenda. The Cabinet of Ministers wants to make peace with Baku as quickly as possible, by the end of this year or the beginning of next year. Intensive negotiations will continue, and we hope that we will come to a solution to the issue of the Lachin corridor, since the crisis in Nagorno-Karabakh negatively affects the negotiations,” Pashinyan said.
Earlier, President of the European Council Charles Michel announced a meeting in Granada on October 5 with the participation of the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia, France and Germany.
