Russia has stated its readiness to consider joining the TRIPP project (the transport corridor between Armenia and Azerbaijan). Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova announced at a briefing that Moscow is interested in participating and is prepared to offer Russian Railways' expertise for the project's implementation.
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that Yerevan does not understand the clauses on the “withdrawal of the Armenian armed forces” from the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh. Yerevan did not participate “in the negotiations between Azerbaijan and Karabakh.”
“Yerevan has repeatedly stated that since August 2021 there have been no units of the Armenian Armed Forces in Karabakh. The mention of Armenia in the text distributed by Stepanakert confirms my words that one of the goals of Baku’s attack on Karabakh was to drag Yerevan into hostilities,” Pashinyan said. He also added that the intensity of fighting in the region has sharply decreased, but has not disappeared. At the same time, the Russian Ministry of Defense reports a complete cessation of hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh through the mediation of Russian peacekeepers.
Let us recall that today Nagorno-Karabakh announced a ceasefire and disarmament, which actually means surrender. The statement by the republican authorities also spoke about the withdrawal of Armenian heavy equipment from its territory.
A little earlier, Russian Presidential Press Secretary Peskov noted that the Kremlin “does not accept Armenia’s reproaches against it.” The Armenian authorities accused Russian peacekeepers of inaction.
