Five regions of the North Caucasus turned out to be outsiders in terms of population involvement in small business

Among the regions of the Russian Federation, the smallest share of residents employed in small and medium-sized businesses is in Ingushetia. The indicator is 12% of the total number of people employed in the economy. These are the data of RIA Rating.

In the ranking according to this criterion, KCR is in second place from the bottom - 23%. The top ten outsiders also included Dagestan, Chechnya and North Ossetia – 26-27%.

The largest share of the population is involved in SMEs in Moscow (65.8%), St. Petersburg (63.6%) and the Novosibirsk region (54.8%). In Russia as a whole, the figure is 40.7%, or 29.9 million people.
