Five participants in the riots at the Makhachkala airport received long terms

The Armavir City Court sentenced the first five defendants in the riots at the Makhachkala airport to long terms in prison. They did not admit their guilt.

Anvarbek Atayev received 6 years and 4 months, Islam Ibragimov - 6 years and 4 months, Magomed Omaraskhabov - 6 years and 6 months, Salik Ramazanov - 6 years and 4 months, Rabadan Radzhabov - 9 years.

Earlier, the Fifth Cassation Court changed the territorial jurisdiction for those accused of rioting. Instead of Dagestan, they are being tried in the Stavropol and Krasnodar Territories. At least 130 people are involved in the case.

Recall that on October 29, 2023, hundreds of people broke into the Makhachkala airport, trying to find passengers on a transit flight from Tel Aviv. The crowd protested against Israel's actions in Palestine. According to the investigation, Atayev, Ibragimov, Ramazanov, Omaraskhabov, Radzhabov and others broke through the cordon, broke down the doors of the terminal and ran out onto the aircraft parking lot, surrounding the plane from Tel Aviv.
