Five residents of Dagestan were fined for displaying flags of extremist organizations

The courts of Dagestan awarded fines of up to 2 thousand rubles to five residents of the republic for posting flags of the terrorist communities “Islamic State” (IS) and “Al-Qaeda” on social networks. In particular, two men posted the IS flag on Odnoklassniki, another on VKontakte, and two others on WhatsApp and Telegram.

The article on displaying extremist symbols provides for a fine of one to two thousand rubles or arrest for up to 15 days.
