Russia does not intend to comply with the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) ruling requiring Georgian citizens to pay over 250 million euros, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov stated. When asked about the possibility of improving Russian-Georgian relations if the payment were made, Peskov noted that the Kremlin views this issue as a separate matter.

The Military Court of Appeal in Vlasikha upheld the two-year term assigned to 64-year-old Oleg Tyryshkin. In May 2023, a criminal case was opened against the man under the article on justification of terrorism. The reason was several comments on VKontakte about the death of former Chechen President Akhmat Kadyrov during the terrorist attack at the stadium in Grozny on May 9, 2004. On December 9, 2024, the court of first instance sentenced Tyryshkin to two years in a general regime penal colony with a ban on using the Internet for the same period.
In 2023, the court fined Tyryshkin three times under the article on incitement of hatred. One of the protocols was drawn up due to comments in the group "We are for Putin!", which, according to security officials, incited hatred towards FSB officers. That same year, the same court fined a man for a negative assessment of the Russian president.
