On the 12th anniversary of Russia's seizure of Crimea, the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement reaffirming its non-recognition of the peninsula as a subject of the Russian Federation.
A criminal case on the grounds of deliberate infliction of bodily harm was initiated in Chechnya in connection with the attack on journalist Elena Milashina and lawyer Alexander Nemov. According to the investigation, the beating was deliberate and caused moderate and mild damage to the health of the victims.
Recall that the attack took place on July 4, the day Zarema Musayeva was sentenced. Milashina and Nemov were heading to the Grozny court from the airport and were attacked by unknown people in balaclavas. There were about 10-15 of them.
The victims were seriously injured and are being treated in Moscow. Doctors diagnosed the woman with a closed craniocerebral injury, multiple fractures of the bones of the hands, and multiple bruises of the soft tissues.
