Authorities in Dagestan have banned the online publication of photographs and information about certain objects and events, citing security concerns. The ban includes images of bridges, air defense systems, the aftermath of drone attacks, as well as information about the type, launch location, crash site, and flight path of drones. The corresponding decree was signed by the head of the republic, Sergey Melikov.

The main suspect in the high-profile case of contract killing of the head of the Center for Combating Extremism of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ingushetia, Ibragim Eldzharkiev, and his brother, Kureysh Kartoev, recorded a video with confessions. He said that he shot a high-ranking police officer because of a blood feud.
“Eldzharkiev was declared a blood feud after the murder of Ibi Belkhoroev. I didn't do it for glory, not for pride, not for money, not to commit a terrorist act. Nobody asked me to do this - neither the Belkhoroevs, nor those who are in prison. I don’t know most of them, I don’t know them and haven’t seen them,” Kartoev said. He himself is wanted and, according to a number of sources, he is abroad.
Ibragim Eldzharkiev and his brother were shot at point-blank range in Moscow in November 2019. The murder of the head of the Ingush CPE was associated with his professional activities.
A year earlier, Ibragim Belkhoroev, a descendant of the founder of the Batalkhadzhin tariqat (“sect”), Batal-Khadzhi Belkhoroev, was killed. Supporters of the Batalkhadzhins considered Eldzharkiev guilty of the death of Belkhoroev.
