During the annual "Year in Review" press conference, Russian President Vladimir Putin, responding to a question about support for young families, noted the tradition of early marriages in the North Caucasus. He said he believed this was "right" and suggested "following their example," citing Ramzan Kadyrov's large family.
In Dagestan, 18-year-old Nadyrkhan Kadirkhanov, detained on suspicion of murdering mixed martial arts fighter Magomed Mutaev, announced conflicts with him. According to the guy, first he was beaten by the athlete’s friends, and then by Mutaev himself and his comrades.
Mutaev and Kadirkhanov used to be friends. However, the first did not like the fact that his friend mentioned in the company that the fighter’s father had once been convicted. According to Nadyrkhan, the crowd beat him, cut his head and planned to burn the word “bitch” on his back. After a while they began to mock him again and said that he was “not a man.” As a result, on January 31, he ambushed Mutaev at his house and shot him.
Representatives of the Public Monitoring Commission (POC) of Dagestan today visited Nadyrkhan Kadirkhanov. The detainee made no complaints about the conditions of detention in the temporary detention center.
“After visiting the temporary detention center, we met with the Deputy Minister of Sports of Dagestan, and he informed that the Ministry of Sports would hold a meeting of coaches and there would be a serious conversation,” said Shamil Khadulaev, deputy head of the republican PMC.
