Russia does not intend to comply with the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) ruling requiring Georgian citizens to pay over 250 million euros, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov stated. When asked about the possibility of improving Russian-Georgian relations if the payment were made, Peskov noted that the Kremlin views this issue as a separate matter.

At the regular session of the Akhmatov Court of Grozny, the head of the Republican bureau of forensic examination Chumakov was interrogated. Initially, he presented a different version of the criminal case against Zarema Musayeva. She is accused of violence against an authority dangerous to life and health. According to the investigation, when she was taken from Nizhny Novgorod to Chechnya, she scratched the face of a police officer.
According to the «Team against Torture», the accusation states that Musayev grabbed the victim Abdulhamidov by the cheek and inflicted eight different abrasions and one wound. However, expert Chumakov told the court that Zarema had not grabbed, but only scratched the policeman twice with four fingers. After the break, the expert changed his testimony - his version of events suddenly coincided with the prosecution’s arguments.
The response of the Ministry of Health to the lawyer’s request noted that the abrasions and wounds do not harm health if the body temperature has not risen, there is no suppuration or abnormality in the patient’s tests. There is no such evidence of the victim’s symptoms in the case file. Thus, the lawyers of «Team against Torture» confirmed the falsification of evidence of the investigation. However, the court extended Musayeva’s arrest until August 12.
In January 2022, Zarema Musaeva was kidnapped in Nizhny Novgorod and then taken to Chechnya. Despite her health problems, she is being held in a detention center. The woman complained of impaired vision. She suffers from diabetes, and the disease is progressing.
