The Kyiv District Court of Simferopol remanded four Crimean Tatar women: Esma Nimetulayeva, Elviza Aliyeva, Nasiba Saidova, and Fevziye Osmanova, in pretrial detention for two months. The hearing was held behind closed doors, with limited access for support.

A native of Ingushetia, Abdul-Malik Albagachiev, who is serving a term in IK-6 in the Astrakhan region, was again left without medical care during an epileptic attack. Because of this, he went on a hunger strike.
According to Albagachiev, the Public Verdict project said that on August 21 his condition worsened, he asked to call a doctor. However, the staff of the colony ignored the request. Instead, they began to provoke convicts to commit unlawful acts. After that, according to Albagachiev, about 10 jailers beat one of the prisoners until he lost consciousness and took him away in an unknown direction. A native of Ingushetia had another attack of epilepsy.
“In connection with this lawlessness, I refuse food. It feels like I am in some kind of secret prison where there is no justice, where the prisoners have no rights,” Albagachiev said.
Abdul-Malik Albagachiev suffers from epilepsy and headaches. Before his arrest, he was an absolutely healthy person. The man was convicted in 2018. He was charged with participation in an illegal armed group in Syria. A confession of guilt was beaten out by torture. However, the man pleaded not guilty.
