An Ingushetia native who had been tortured was taken out of the colony during a procuratorial inspection.

Abdul-Malik Albagachiev, a resident of Ingushetia, is being held in torture conditions in IK-10 Astrakhan. He suffers from epilepsy, which appeared after the torture, the background of «Public verdict» reported earlier. Recently, the man was taken to the hospital - ostensibly for examination. This happened during a procuratorial inspection of the colony.
Albagachiev was taken away on February 6, and brought back to IK-10 on February 9. On these dates, the colony underwent a procuratorial check from Moscow. The lawyer of the «Public Verdict» Foundation Irina Biryukova is preparing an appeal to the prosecutor’s office to check the legality of the actions of the administration of the correctional institution.
According to Abdul-Malik, other convicts were also removed, which could have been an obstacle to their verification. The prisoner is constantly placed in a punishment cell. In addition to epilepsy, he has an iron plate in his collarbone that should have been removed long ago. But prison doctors don’t sign a referral and send him to the hospital for surgery.
Abdul-Malik Albagachiev was convicted in 2018. He was charged with participation in an illegal armed group in Syria. The confession of guilt was beaten with torture - electrocution, on the stomach and kidneys, strangled, notes «Public verdict». The man did not admit guilt.
