Crimean Tatar political prisoner regularly placed in punishment cell

The Crimean Tatar Server Zekiryaev, sentenced to 13 years, was again placed in a punishment cell of correctional colony No. 1 in the city of Donskoy, Tula region. He was repeatedly extended the term in the punishment cell for 15 days.

There are no letters from the prisoner for a long time, and since February 1 he has never talked to his wife on the phone. He is still not allowed to meet: his wife has not seen him since September last year.

Before his arrest, Server Zekiryaev worked as a physical education teacher and was engaged in floriculture. In Bakhchisarai, at large, 13 children are waiting for him.

The man was found guilty of involvement in the activities of the Islamic political party Hizb ut-Tahrir. In Russia, the organization has been banned since 2003. At the same time, on the territory of Ukraine and most countries of the world, it operates without restrictions at the level of national legislation. The majority of Crimean Tatar political prisoners criticize the Russian authorities.
