After criticism of the Russian Federation from Armenia, Moscow accused Yerevan of supplying contaminated vegetables and fruits

Rosselkhoznadzor of the Russian Federation recorded a sharp increase in supplies of contaminated crop products from Armenia. During November 24-26, 36 violations were identified.

Due to the fact that Russia did not accept these cargoes, difficulties arose at the Verkhniy Lars checkpoint on the Georgian-Russian border. In this regard, Armenia has convened a meeting within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), which will be held in the coming days.

Recently, there has been a deterioration in relations between the Russian Federation and Armenia. On November 14, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that he would not be able to take part in the CSTO meeting on November 23 in Minsk. After this, Foreign Minister Mirzoyan and Defense Minister Papikyan refused to participate in CSTO meetings.

On November 25, Pashinyan accused Russian television channels of destabilizing the situation in Armenia. In addition, Yerevan is actively developing relations with the West, which causes a negative reaction from the Russian Federation.
