The court ordered the FSIN to again consider the issue of bringing the convicted native of Chechnya closer to home

The court in the Kirov region, where Salyakh Bakanev, a resident of Urus-Martan (Chechnya), is serving his sentence, satisfied his claim to the FSIN. The man asked to be transferred to a correctional institution closer to the family's place of residence, but the department refused. It must now reconsider the application.

Salyakh Bakanev's wife is raising six young sons, and his father is disabled. They have no opportunity to go on a date from Chechnya at a distance of 2,600 km.

Salakh Bakanev was sentenced to four and a half years for participating in illegal armed formation and storage of weapons. He also filed a claim for compensation of moral damages in the amount of 300 thousand rubles for the transfer to a colony far from home. However, the court in Chechnya rejected the claim.
